Classic Southern Deviled Eggs

You Will Need

6 eggs
1/4 cup
mayonnaise salad dressing
Season Salt/
Garlic Salt OR

Greek Seasoning to taste (just a dash)

Paprika (just a pinch)

Pepper (just a sprinkle)

3 Slices bacon Fried then Ground in a coffee grinder or processor.

You don't have to go crazy with deviled eggs to make them delicious! These are simple to do and taste out of this world good. When you are busy doing a bbq, or tailgating, pot lucks or the super bowl, you want quick, but you don't want to sacrifice taste, with these you get the best of both worlds. Quick, Easy, and downright delicious. This recipe is easy to double, triple (however many you need) You can always sprinkle diced bacon on top or decorate with olives. Mix in your favorite toppings. It's that easy.

Add 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes to give them the perfect kick.

Can you make deviled eggs the day before?

 

Make Ahead: You can make deviled eggs up to 2 days in advance. You will need to keep the egg whites and the yokes separate in an air tight container. You can make the filling and keep in a plastic bag, but make sure you remove all air from the bag.

What is a good substitute for mayo in deviled eggs?

You can replace the mayonnaise with a perfect substitute: sour cream! Sour cream provides the same creaminess and tanginess in the filling, making it an easy replacement. You can also try other products of a similar taste and texture, like plain yogurt. 

Directions

  • Insert eggs into your instant pot,

  • For the 8 qt manual pressure for 10 min

  • Then instant release.

  • Place in cold water until you can handle them,

  • Then peel. Cut in half, and place cooked yokes into another bowl.

  • Add 1/4 cup mayonnaise salad dressing, and mix well!

  • I mean, of the point to very little lumps.

  • Then, sprinkle Greek Seasoning over tops, (or Season Salt.) to taste.

  •  chopped black olives

  •  chopped Spanish olives

  •  sour cream

  •  chopped sun-dried tomatoes

  •  chopped fresh herbs (dill, parsley, chives)

How long do deviled eggs last for? Two days

Eggs are perishable, they should be kept chilled at all times. Once prepared, deviled eggs should be stored in the refrigerator immediately. They should be consumed within two days, which is generally considered the maximum amount of time deviled eggs remain safe to eat when stored in the refrigerator.
